Radford Wine and the USEA

Recently, the artist has made a decision to form a mutual partnership with the United States Eventing Association in Leesburg, Virginia.  This USEA’s goal is to further what is equivalent to a “triathlon for the horse” within our nation.  How does Radford Wine fit?  Wine has promised this; the rights to any equestrian work created will be granted to the USEA to further the cause of the non-profit organization. 

In early 2008, the artist was commissioned by Olympic equestrian Wash Bishop to paint the noted horse Ask Away. To view the work, Click Here.

In honor of Wine’s promise, he has created two posters utilizing this image.  ALL proceeds from sales of these reproductions will benefit the USEA.  These works are $50.00 each and are available through the USEA’s web site. 

These are beautiful posters!  Both images are shown at left.  Frame them in a contemporary method, or, “mat out” the text and have a fine work of art.  Measuring 18 x 24” in a vertical format, these striking images are a welcome addition to any equestrian or any individual interested in the beauty of the horse.

TEXAS!

The “independent state” of Texas is on the mind of the artist, for in 2010, if all goes according to plan, he and his family plan to relocate to the city of Dallas.  Radford Wine is no stranger to Texas, having hiked and painted many vistas of the beautiful state.
Now, he offers two bold and contemporary images for Texans and lovers of the west.
And these are Texas sized!

Both images incorporate one of the most noted symbols of the great state -- the longhorn.  In “Rockin’ Star Brand,” the steer stands guard warning interlopers not to interfere.  He is a brightly colored paint and the image of the state of Texas is subtly emblazoned upon his forehead.  “Andy Longhorn” is a tongue-in-cheek play on the design by pop artist Andy Warhol, hence the title for this work.  Either work or both will make a beautiful and strong visual addition to any surrounding.

Beautiful giclees of the images shown are now available.  These are printed on 100% cotton substrate with archival inks.  Sorry, these images are not available on canvas.

Two striking portraits by Radford Wine of natives to our country are now available as giclees printed upon 100% cotton or as prints upon canvas.  The canvas editions, following hand embellishing by the artist are difficult to distinguish from original works.

“Sitting Bull”, holy-man and war chief to the Lakota, peers at the viewer with knowing and distant eyes, while “The Scout,” highly decorated with steel studs upon a leather vest and abstractly decorated hair stares intently, wondering what lies ahead for his people.

Both images are available in two sizes.  A limited edition of 250 is available for each image.
