Inspired by the artist’s travels to the beautiful
island of Barbados in the Caribbean, this is a soothing and peaceful painting.
The chaise is reclined to just the right angle, inviting you to come and
visit, “drink in” the scenery of the turquoise sea and palms,
while enjoying a soft breeze that propels the sails upon the waters. Aaaaaaah!
A small gecko has decided to join you this afternoon and has pre-determined
that he will be no bother to you at all. Note: Whenever the gecko appears
within this series of works, he sport a tiny necklace with a medallion
inscribed with the letter “J”. This is the initial of the
artist’s son’s first name. Each of these art deco works is
meticulously rendered and painted with extreme care. Lines are “razor-sharp”,
clean, and colors are soothing and peaceful. These are large, “sassy”
